Before people book a car with us, the same handful of questions comes up again and again — usually over WhatsApp, usually within the first minute. So we’ve gathered them here, with straight answers and none of the runaround. If yours isn’t below, just message us and we’ll sort it out.

Renting a car in Dubai — frequently asked questions

Can I rent a car in Dubai as a tourist?

Yes, and easily. You’ll need your passport, your visa or entry stamp, and a driving licence — with an International Driving Permit alongside it if your licence isn’t in English or Arabic. Visitors from the Gulf can use their own licence as-is. The tourist rental guide has the full nationality breakdown.

How much does it cost?

Two things decide it: which car, and for how long. Economy cars are very affordable; SUVs and luxury models sit higher. The big saver is duration — the longer you keep the car, the lower the daily rate falls. Real 2026 ranges are in the cost guide.

Do I have to leave a deposit?

Not on most of our cars. The majority of the fleet is no-deposit, so we don’t freeze a lump sum on your card the way traditional agencies do. That’s one of the things regulars like most about renting with us.

How old do I need to be?

Usually 21. The premium and performance cars ask for a bit older — often 25 — and sometimes a licence you’ve held for a couple of years. Tell us the car and your age and we’ll confirm on the spot. More on the minimum age page.

Is insurance included?

Always. Every rental comes with insurance built into the price. If you like to know the mechanics — CDW, excess, what happens after a bump — it’s all explained in how the cover works.

Can I rent without a credit card?

Usually yes. Because most cars are no-deposit, there’s no big hold to place, which makes renting without a credit card realistic. Message us about the payment options that suit you.

Do the cars come with Salik for tolls?

Yes — every car has a Salik tag already fitted. You drive through the gates without stopping, it’s AED 4 a crossing, and it’s tallied up at the end. Nothing for you to set up.

How do I actually get the car — is there a branch?

No branch, and that’s the point. We deliver the car free to your home, hotel, office or the airport, and collect it the same way when you’re done. Plenty of our customers rent, drive and return without ever meeting us at a desk — the whole thing runs on WhatsApp.

Are the cars manual or automatic?

Automatic, right across the fleet — that’s the UAE standard. If you’ve only ever driven a manual, don’t worry; an automatic is the easier of the two, especially in city traffic. See the automatic cars page.

Can I take the car to Abu Dhabi or the other emirates?

Absolutely. A car rented in Dubai is free to travel the whole UAE — Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Al Ain. Just keep an eye on your mileage allowance for the longer runs.

How long can I rent for?

Anything from a single day to a month or a long-term lease — and the longer you go, the cheaper each day works out.
