Here’s a moment most people who’ve rented abroad will recognise: you’re at the counter, the car’s ready, and then the agent asks to put a “small hold” of a few thousand dirhams on your card. Suddenly the money you’d set aside for the actual holiday is frozen for the next month. We built Al Rafaheia so that never happens. On most of our cars there’s no deposit at all — nothing held, nothing frozen, no nasty little deduction waiting at the end. You pay for the rental, you drive, done.
What “no deposit” really means
Most rental companies in Dubai block a refundable security deposit on your credit card — usually somewhere between AED 1,000 and AED 5,000, and a good deal more for the exotic stuff. It sits there frozen for the whole rental, and sometimes for a week or two after you’ve handed the car back. With a no-deposit rental from us, that hold simply doesn’t exist. Your available balance stays exactly where it should be: with you.
Why we can actually do this
Honestly, because we keep it simple. Comprehensive insurance is already on every car, the fleet is looked after properly, and we deal with you directly over WhatsApp instead of burying everyone in paperwork. That’s what lets us skip the deposit while still protecting both sides. It isn’t a gimmick — it’s just a leaner way of running things.
What you’ll still need
- A valid driving licence — your home-country one is fine for most visitors, ideally with an International Driving Permit alongside it.
- Your passport, or Emirates ID if you live here.
- To be 21 or older. A few of the luxury and performance cars ask for 25+.

It’s the whole fleet, not just the cheap cars
This trips people up, so let me be clear: the no-deposit policy isn’t reserved for the budget end. It covers everything — an economy sedan for the daily commute, a family SUV for the school run and the weekend desert trip, right up to a luxury car for a special night out. A Nissan Altima or a Range Rover — same deal: free delivery, full insurance, zero deposit.
The catch (there isn’t one)
People keep asking where the catch is, so: there’s no hidden admin fee, no inflated daily rate to “make up for it,” and no fine print. You’re still responsible for your own fines and Salik, as you would be anywhere — the difference is we don’t lock up your money as a just-in-case.
